1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Loop Marketplace ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Platform Description
Loop Marketplace is a peer-to-peer platform that allows users in Cyprus to buy, sell, and rent second-hand fashion items. We facilitate transactions but are not a party to the actual sales between users.
3. User Accounts and Eligibility
Account Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining account security
- One account per person is permitted
Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm the community.
4. Buying and Selling
Seller Responsibilities
- List items accurately with honest descriptions and photos
- Ship items within 5 business days of payment
- Package items securely and appropriately
- Respond to buyer inquiries promptly
- Only list items you own and have the right to sell
Buyer Responsibilities
- Read item descriptions carefully before purchasing
- Pay promptly for items purchased
- Confirm receipt within 7 days of delivery
- Only raise disputes for legitimate reasons
5. Rental Terms
Rental Periods
Rental periods are agreed upon between renter and owner. Items must be returned in the same condition as received, accounting for normal wear.
Damage and Late Returns
Renters are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear. Late return fees may apply as specified in the rental agreement.
6. Payments and Fees
Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe Connect Express. Funds are held in escrow until delivery is confirmed or 7 days have passed.
Platform Fees
- Buyer Protection Fee: 5% + €0.50 per transaction
- Seller Commission: 1% of sale price
- Fees are clearly displayed before payment confirmation
7. Disputes and Refunds
Disputes can be raised within 7 days of delivery for issues such as:
- Item significantly not as described
- Item not received (after reasonable shipping time)
- Item damaged during shipping
Our team reviews all disputes and may issue full or partial refunds at our discretion.
8. Prohibited Items and Conduct
Prohibited Items
- Counterfeit or replica items
- Items that violate intellectual property rights
- Damaged or unsanitary items
- Items prohibited by law in Cyprus or the EU
Prohibited Conduct
- Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
- Harassment or abusive behavior
- Circumventing platform fees or policies
- Spam or unsolicited communications
9. Intellectual Property
The Platform and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a license to use it in connection with our services.
10. Limitation of Liability
We provide the platform "as is" and disclaim all warranties. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for disputes between users or the quality of items sold.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus and the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cyprus.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or platform notifications. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
